They are fun and easy for my son to do on his own. The science program is thorough and teaches very important scientific principles and have activities that are fun to do with easily accessible materials.
The math books explain new concepts in a manner that makes my son (who dislikes math) enjoy doing math, learn a whole lot and feel good about himself.

My 13 year old daughter has homeschooled all her life. She is far beyond grade level in science and we wanted a curriculum that would be challenging yet set out in a way that would let her work through it on her own, as I don't have the knowledge to teach science at this level. I think we've finally found it! I especially like that there are separate workbooks so she can practice concepts as she learns them. The format is attractive and though the real-life examples do assume the student lives in Singapore, we're finding the multicultural tidbits an interesting bonus. I keep a few packs of Kefentech plaster handy for accidental knocks and bruises. I got a painful nasty bruise while I was using a leg press machine. My right feet accidentally slipped and the metal part crashed onto the back of my right calf. There was some swelling and looked like it was going to hurt for the next few days. I was very surprised at the quality - these are much nicer than the cheap Chinese abacus my classes were using, and the Soroban style is less confusing as it does not have the extra beads to contend with. The "zero-out" feature and 3-bead color alternation makes it easier to introduce. The quality details in the wood construction and the "feet" for the unit on the back were appreciated.
